President’s Message

The Inglewood/Airport Are Chamber of Commerce 2008 Business Directory and Buyers Guide are now available at the Chamber office and are being distributed to various businesses throughout the city.  This guide depicts the various goods and services available in and around the City of Inglewood.  I encourage all members of the Chamber to not only share this valuable resource guide with your co-workers and employees but also to share it with your friends, neighbors and relatives.  The more people realize that Inglewood is the place to shop for quality goods and services, the more successful the City and your businesses will become.

The City of Inglewood continues to forge ahead with new developments creating a bright future not only for our current residents and established business community but also for those new comers to the city seeking to establish residency and/or create new businesses.  There is indeed a bright future for our City which has caused those around us to standup and take notice.  As an example, a few weeks ago the Los Angeles Times printed a positive article in their paper about our newly sworn Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks and what she intends to bring to the city.  It has been a long time since the Times has written something positive about Inglewood, especially the Police Department.  I know you haven’t been here long but keep the positive press coming Chief.

This year is an election year.  I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote.  Don’t sit back and let others make the decisions without your input.

This year is also the City of Inglewood’s 100th birthday.  Happy Birthday Inglewood!
